NBC called and said they loved my work and my website and they asked me if I would consider being on the show, Making It, with Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman.  I had never seen the show, but I said, “Yes” and I immediately watched this competitive crafting show.  After a telephone interview with the assistant producer, a SKYPE interview with the producer, and uploading every piece of art that I have ever made, I received an email asking if I was available on certain dates and what my closest airport is. 

I was not a selected this time as a finalist.  Oh well, it was a fun and exciting experience.  This experience forced me to organize and update the images of my work and was the inspiration for my newest hand puppet.

Tyrion Lannister Hand Puppet

Game of Thrones Tyrion Lannister Hand Puppet is a handmade, one of a kind, art piece for your collection. This figure can be gently used by inserting your hand inside to move his head and arms so he can "drink and know things". Not intended as a toy for children.

Tyrion is 16" tall when standing on his 7" round base. His head is hand sculpted from air dry clay and hand painted with acrylic paints. His clothing is made from designer upholstery fabrics with metal details and a leather belt. 

Tyrion's lion goblet is sculpted from air dry clay and wood then painted with gold acrylic paint and a red rhinestone added for the eye. His hands are fabric and his shoes are vinyl. Tyrion is supported by a wood base with a lion and Medieval design burned into the wood. The base is stained and sealed with a clear gloss.

It is mesmerizing to watch his movements when a talented hand manipulates him. Keep him near your t.v. to await the next episode of Game of Thrones.

Texas Association of Original Doll Artsits & Girl Scouts

June 2018, TAODA will celebrate WORLD DOLL DAY with the GIRL SCOUTS of SAN JACINTO. Each TAODA member is sewing 10-5"x7" rectangle Pillow Dolls for Girl Scouts to stuff. Scouts will stuff two dolls each, one doll to keep one doll to donate to a child in a Houston area hospital. 
 Here is the Pillow Doll Pattern . . . Enlarging the pattern to fit an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, will give you a 5x7 doll.
